Magister’s Terrace first look.
Yesterday we decided to reschedule Kara and went to try the new zone and the new 5-man.
My guild fielded several groups, and i was in one with a Shadow Priest, Destro Lock, Holy Pally and a pugged Mage.
After spending some time looking around the area and finding the instance, we zoned in to a courtyard with some trash. We cleared that and were pleasently surprised to see that the first boss was only a few pulls away. Next pulls were 6 elites, so i marked CC and pulled… it turned out they don’t hit very hard and have little health, so we decided to just have the spriest heal along with the pally and AoE em down. It went well until a Seed of Corruption aggroed the whole room, including the boss. We regrouped and rebuffed, cleared the last group and went at it with the boss. He is basically a Warlord Kalitresh clone, so he should be tanked near the big floating jewels. When he starts draining them DPS should kill the gems asap and the tank then move the boss to the next gem, making sure he doesn’t hit the other people with the AoE too much. Rinse, repeat, loot. We got a nice healing cloak that went to the pally.
Moving on we found some floating worms on the next room. They are weak enough to be AoEd down, and when killed give a stacking +1% damage buff. Just make sure you pull one group at a time and the room will be cleared in minutes. Just watch out for an elite pat walking down the hallway.
The boss is very similar to the Curator fight, so it’s a DPS race. He will spawn adds called “Pure Energy” that will do a Chain Lightning effect and will detonate if allowed to live for to long, so the DPS should focus them as soon as they spawn, then back to the boss. He went down fast and i got a new cloak for my DPS set.
After this fight you exit with a balcony with a scrying orb that will show you a flyby of Sunwell Plateau, and will make Kalecgos come by and pay you a visit. Next is a hallway with a couple of robots that are about as difficult as the ones in Arc, and another courtyard.
This is where the difficult part starts. From now on, the smallest pull you will face will be 4. Good news is you can skip some pulls, so we cleared to the next room where the third boss awaits. A few more clears and we start on the boss. At first i thought she was a Moroes clone, since she spawns with 4 adds picked at random from a table. We tried many different strats, mind control, fearbombs, etc. and it seemed i couldn’t hold aggro… We ended up calling it after we ran out of durability.
I’ve been researching this morning, and the fight is not a Moroes clone, instead it is basically a 5v5 arena match. There’s no aggro table, so everyone should bring PvP gear and use it for this fight.
If we don’t do Kara today i’ll go back and update with pictures and possibly video.

Yessss a video !! And many pictures please !
We will try this new instance next week, I hope we will be able to finish it and validate the quest for heroic mode.
